For eleven weeks, we have been lucky to have our Austrian design intern Michaela here at Jung von Matt Stockholm (I guess we must be the most German-speaking agency in Sweden now). Today, when the whole office is leaving for the summer holiday (we'll be back again on the 7th of August), so does Michaela. She will we traveling around in Sweden for one month before she’s turning back to Austria to finish her studies in September. After that, she will be ready to start her working life at an agency somewhere. In Austria or Sweden, we’re not sure yet, but we’re hoping for the latest. ;) Michaela, big thanks for everything you helped us with during your time here. Good luck with everything, we will miss you so please come visit!
Here are some words from Michaela about her time here:
”Great office - Great people - Great projects – Great time. These words pop into my head when I think about my time here at Jung von Matt. During my eleven-week internship, I was able to extend my graphic design skills and I got a good insight into the agency world.
The reason why I wanted to do my internship at Jung von Matt Stockholm was primarily due to my studies – Design and Product Management, which I study back home in Salzburg, Austria. My university offered Swedish classes, where I fell in love with the country more and more. When I noticed that Jung von Matt had an office in Stockholm, I knew it was where I wanted to go.
Spending time in Stockholm helped me improve my language skills, let me get to know the amazing city and gave me the opportunity to travel the country with its beautiful nature.
Right from the start, I felt like a valued member. The warm welcome made it feel like home right away. What I really enjoyed was the good working atmosphere in the office. One really noticed that the people working here are more than just co-workers.
I had the possibility to work on very interesting but also funny projects, for example creating colorfully animated emojis or participating in photo shootings for different campaigns. I was able to work very independently but when I had any questions or needed any help, my colleagues were always here to assist and support me. I was also given feedback and helpful advice, which not only made me learn a lot about graphic design but also motivated and encouraged me.
Besides the great colleagues, also the office itself was impressive. Cool furnishing combined with selected decoration in a very nice and old building in the middle of the city. That is the way I always imagined an agency office. Awesome!
It was very exciting to get to know the working world in another country.
Now my time here is almost over, but I am incredibly happy to have been a part of the JVM team. Thank you for giving me this opportunity.”
