Cannes Lions are great. Your brand deserves much more.
The first insight is that you can accomplish anything with some talent, some timing and some luck.
Since we started Jung von Matt in Stockholm 2006 – renting half of a conference table at a hotel owner's office – we’ve grown to work for a fantastic list of prestigious global brands (we dare to say fantastic for a mid-sized Swedish agency). We’ve become the world’s 15th best independent agency. Made the third most awarded digital campaign in the world. And in total won 100+ Swedish and international creative awards for campaigns that also have contributed to our client’s fame.
The second insight is that the biggest part of our work is less dependent on luck. It’s all about the value of stubbornness. The obsession to learn the client’s business and their customer journey. And day by day, step by step, build literally EVERYTHING you do (yes, everything, even the smallest social media post) on the client’s brand values and tonality. Then you grow brands and build businesses for real over time. Like we, for example, did for BMW – supporting them going from 1.8% market share to 6.3%.
That’s an accomplishment that shines stronger than a gold Lion in Cannes. And to make it, you need people who are obsessed to get you to win over your competitors on every opportunity there is.
